Although this is largely Rubellite (Pink Tourmaline), it is classed as Watermelon Tourmaline due to the presence of the Green Tourmaline. Precious gem quality Watermelon Tourmaline would generally be a rounded slice taken from an end consisting of both pink and green which might give a watermelon slice effect. However, this is a nice example of a Watermelon Tourmaline Mineral Specimen.
